Beschrijving
WidgetChat is a live chat widget for a website. A visitor writes from the page; the message
reaches you in Telegram (and, on request, WhatsApp or MAX), and your reply appears back in the
chat window on the site.
This plugin does one thing: it prints the widget script tag with the widget ID you saved in the
settings. There is no dashboard inside WordPress, no extra database tables and no background
work.
What it does
- Adds the chat widget to every page of the site.
- Keeps one setting: the widget ID from your WidgetChat account.
- Removes that setting when the plugin is deleted.
What it does not do
- It makes no requests from your server — not on activation, not on a schedule, not ever.
- It does not track visitors and stores nothing about them in WordPress.
- It has no time-limited trial and no locked features: the plugin is fully functional as it
is shipped.
Service used by this plugin
The chat itself is a hosted service, so the plugin is only useful together with it. The script
tag it prints makes the visitor’s browser load https://api.widgetchat.ru/widget/bozex-support-widget.js
and exchange messages with that address. What the visitor sends — the text they type, the files
they attach and the page address they wrote from — is processed by the service so that you can
answer.
- Service: widgetchat.ru

- Privacy policy: widgetchat.ru/privacy/
- How the widget works: widgetchat.ru/docs/widget/
If your site shows a cookie or consent banner, note that the widget stores a visitor identifier
in the browser so a returning visitor sees the same conversation. Mention it in your own privacy
notice.

Installatie
- Install and activate the plugin.
- Create an account at widgetchat.ru, add your site and copy the
widget ID — it starts with
wc_. - Open Settings WidgetChat, paste the widget ID and save.
- Open your site in a private window: the chat button appears in the corner.
To switch the chat off, clear the widget ID and save — the plugin stays installed and prints nothing.
FAQ
-
Do I need an account on the service?
-
Yes. The widget ID is issued in the WidgetChat account and identifies your site, so the plugin
cannot work without one. -
Where do the messages arrive?
-
In Telegram, in a separate topic per visitor. WhatsApp and MAX are connected on request from the
account. Replies from any of them appear in the chat window on the site. -
Does the plugin slow the site down?
-
The script tag is loaded asynchronously and does not block rendering. WordPress itself does no
extra work: the plugin adds one tag and reads one option. -
Can I change the widget appearance from WordPress?
-
No. Colours, texts, the operator avatar and the button icon are set in the WidgetChat account —
that way the same settings apply wherever the widget is installed. -
How do I remove everything?
-
Delete the plugin: the single stored option is removed with it. The conversations live in the
service, not in WordPress, and deleting the plugin does not delete them — remove the site in your
account for that.
