Web-Stat is a website analytics and visitor tracking service for WordPress. See visits as they happen: recent visitors, their entrance pages, where they came from and whether they have visited before. Explore traffic with live reports, referrer statistics and a visitor map. Plus adds navigation and click-path reports.

Install and activate the plugin to set up tracking. Open Web-Stat from your WordPress admin menu to view your stats. You can also access your reports on the Web-Stat website. Explore the live demo.

What you can see

Live visitors: See recent visits as they arrive, including entrance pages, referrers, device details and approximate location.
Traffic sources: Find visits from search engines, social media, other websites and direct traffic.
Returning visitors: See which visitors have been to your site before.
Navigation and click-paths (Plus): Follow the pages visitors view within your site and analyze their journeys.
Website statistics: Review visits over time, entrance pages, referrers and visitor locations.
Advanced reporting: Paid plans add longer history, deeper engagement reports, conversions, custom events and downtime monitoring, depending on the plan.

Free and paid plans

The free plan includes up to 5,000 page views per month, the latest 50 visits and one month of report history. If your site reaches its monthly page-view limit, tracking pauses until the next month or until you increase capacity.

Paid plans increase capacity and add features:

Basic: $4.95/month or $49.50/year; up to 10,000 page views per month and six months of report history.
Plus: $9.95/month or $99.50/year; up to 100,000 page views per month and 12 months of history, with navigation and click-path reports, time-on-site and bounce rates.
Pro: $19.95/month or $199.50/year; up to 300,000 page views per month and 24 months of history, with conversions, custom events and downtime monitoring.
Max: $49.95/month or $499.50/year; up to 500,000 page views per month and 60 months of history.

Hosted analytics and privacy

Web-Stat is a hosted analytics service provided by Web Tracking Services, LLC. The plugin connects your WordPress site to Web-Stat; analytics data is processed on Web-Stat’s servers, not stored solely in your WordPress database. A Web-Stat account is required and is set up when you install the plugin.

The tracking code sends visit information to Web-Stat, including page URLs, referrers, IP addresses and browser/device details. Location is estimated from IP addresses. Optional features can collect information about signed-in users when enabled. Site owners should describe their use of analytics in their site’s privacy notice and configure tracking for their visitors as appropriate. Read the Web-Stat privacy policy and service terms.

Installatie

In WordPress, open Plugins > Add New and search for Web-Stat.
Install and activate the plugin. It sets up a Web-Stat account and starts tracking your site.
Open Web-Stat in the WordPress admin menu or click View My Stats to see your visits.
Visit Web-Stat > Settings to adjust tracking or account settings.

FAQ

Do I need a separate Web-Stat account?: Yes. Installing the plugin sets up a Web-Stat account for your site. You can open your stats through WordPress or on the Web-Stat website.
Are my analytics stored in my WordPress database?: No. The plugin sends visit data to the Web-Stat hosted service, where your reports are processed. See the privacy links in the description above.
Is the free plan really free?: Yes. The free plan includes up to 5,000 page views per month, the latest 50 visits and one month of report history. You can upgrade if you need more capacity or advanced reports.
Can I see which pages a visitor viewed?: The free plan shows a visitor’s entrance page. Plus adds navigation and click-path reports showing the pages visitors viewed within your site.
Will Web-Stat appear on my site?: Tracking is invisible by default. You can choose to display a visitor counter in Web-Stat > Settings.
How do I change plans or find my login details?: Use Web-Stat > Settings in your WordPress admin area, or open your account on the Web-Stat website. See the plan comparison for feature details.

Web-Stat est un outil particulièrement complet et facile d'utilisation… La version gratuite et l'occasion d'essayer une version payante pendant quelques semaines est un plus qui m'a fait sauter le pas vers la version payante. Le SAV est particulièrement réactif et très à l'écoute. De tous les outils, même les plus connus, il est mon préféré de très très loin.+++Web-Stat is a particularly complete and easy-to-use tool… The free version and the opportunity to try out a paid version for a few weeks is a plus that made me decide to go for the paid version. The after-sales service is particularly responsive and very attentive. Of all the tools, even the best known, this is my favourite by a long long way.

I had an issue with a conflict between Wed-stat and another plugin that was causing Web-stat to stop displaying data. Olivier responded very promptly to my support request and was able to identify and resolve the problem quickly. I would not have known where to look. All is functioning well thanks to his responsive and capable support.

I own a nationwide real estate marketing company, and we first installed Web-Stat about 2-1/2 years ago. It was easily the best web statistics program around (and still is)…but we wanted the additional information provided by the Pro version. I think we upgraded to the pro version around 3 months after using the free version. The Pro version is hands down worth wayyyy more than the $9.95 we pay each month for the amount of information we can see from every single website visit!!! We're currently averaging between 80-150 visits to our site per day, and Web-Stat shows us EVERYTHING we want to know, and presents it in SUCH a logical and comprehensive manner!! We've tried other web analytics plugins in the past (probably 8-10 of them)…and NOT A SINGLE ONE OF THEM can hold a candle to Web-Stat in terms of functionality, ease of use, and presentation. Oh, and the customer service couldn't be any better!! The response times are quick, and the answers are friendly and thorough! I like that!We're users for life!! If you're on the fence about this software, don't be! You can spend hours and hours installing and testing other analytics programs, but you won't find one that comes anywhere CLOSE to what Web-Stat offers! Trust me, I've already tried!

I have tried many analytics plugins and they were either underwhelming or overwhelming. WebStat provides detailed analytics in an elegant manner that is easy to digest with data privacy in consideration. They gave a generous premium trial period to test all the settings afterwhich I continued premium with a monthy subscription. Today, I encountered a rare issue which was immediately resolved, so with this level of support, I remain a loyal customer.

So no matter what the reason is, it is a fact that the email address is transferred from the plugin without consent into a database at the programmer system! Something that must be classified as questionable from the perspective of data protection. I think, if they want to use your eMail address they have to ask for. And if they want to generate a account in your name, they have to ask for. And if they want to collect your data on their local systems… they have to ask for!
