How It Works:
Your site name + cleaned filename = Perfect metadata
What Gets Removed:
– 🔢 Numbers – “IMG_123.jpg” becomes “IMG”
– ➖ Special Characters – “my-image-123.jpg” becomes “My Image”
– 🌀 Underscores and Dashes – “product_photo-001.jpg” becomes “Product Photo”

Installatie
- Upload the
smart-alt-image-metafolder to the/wp-content/plugins/directory - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
- Go to Smart Alt Image Meta in the admin menu to run bulk optimization

No, only the metadata (title, alt text, description) is changed. Your actual filenames on disk remain the same.
