wp2ai gives your AI assistant real superpowers on WordPress. Connect ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), and let it read, propose and publish content: you keep full control of what actually goes live.

Service relationship

wp2ai is a hosted service, an account is required. The plugin on its own does not provide any AI functionality: it is the connector between your site and this service through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). See the External services section below for the exact detail of what is sent, and where.

Freemium and Premium

Create an account and enjoy a 14 day Pro trial, no credit card required (pre-publish simulation, smart internal linking, full quality score, and more). Once the trial ends, you automatically switch to the Free plan, or move to a paid plan.

Source code

The plugin ships as plain PHP with no build step and no minified assets: the code in the distributed ZIP is the complete, human-readable source.

External services

This plugin connects to the wp2ai service, operated by webNdev. The connection is not automatic: nothing is sent until an administrator explicitly starts the pairing flow from the plugin page, and everything stops when the site is disconnected.

wp2ai API

The plugin calls the wp2ai API, at https://api.wp2ai.app/functions/v1. It is contacted in these cases:

• When you connect the site. Sends the pairing code and pairing state returned by app.wp2ai.io, your site name, your WordPress version and the plugin version, in order to finalize pairing and obtain connector credentials.
• When a post is created, updated or deleted. Sends the connector identifier, a SHA-256 hash of the connector secret, the post ID and the event type, so the service knows the post needs to be re-read.
• When content is synced. Sends, for each post in scope: post ID, title, slug, excerpt, the post content in both raw and plain-text form, a SHA-256 hash of that content, post status, post type, editor type, detected language, SEO title and description with their source, publication and modification dates, featured image ID and alt text, and structural flags (presence of media, of a call to action, category counts, internal link statuses).
• When the plugin polls for pending work. Sends the connector identifier and secret hash to retrieve the actions the service wants applied, and reports back whether each action succeeded or failed.
• When you disconnect the site. Sends the connector identifier and secret hash so the service can revoke the connection.

No visitor data, no site user accounts and no administrator email addresses are sent.

app.wp2ai.io

Clicking “Connect my site” opens https://app.wp2ai.io in your browser so you can sign in to your wp2ai account and authorize the site. This is a redirect in your own browser, not a server-side call: WordPress sends nothing to app.wp2ai.io by itself. app.wp2ai.io then returns you to the plugin page with the pairing code that the plugin exchanges against the API.
