ClaimProof – EU Guarantee & Repair Info for WooCommerce

Beschrijving

Vanaf 27 september 2026 gelden voor elke webwinkel die goederen aan consumenten in de EU verkoopt nieuwe informatieplichten (Richtlijn (EU) 2024/825). WooCommerce zelf regelt daar niets van.

ClaimProof adds all of them:

1. The harmonised notice on the legal guarantee. Every seller must display the Commission’s notice about the two-year legal guarantee in a prominent way, online and in the order confirmation. ClaimProof ships the official artwork in all 24 EU languages (unaltered, as the Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960 requires) and shows it where the Commission’s guidelines suggest: a sentence such as “Your legal guarantee rights” on product pages, on the checkout and in the footer that opens the full notice on click or roll-over, plus a reminder with the official PDF attached to the customer’s order e-mails. The language follows your site, WPML or Polylang. A block and a shortcode put the notice anywhere else.

2. The EU GARAN label. When a producer offers a free commercial guarantee of durability of more than two years for the whole product, the seller must show the GARAN label for that product. Enter the years, the producer and the model on the product; ClaimProof renders the official label with only the three editable fields filled in, in the official Inter typeface, as a nested label under the price that opens the full label, in shop lists if you want, and on the checkout directly before the order is placed.

3. Reparatie, reserveonderdelen en software-updates. De repareerbaarheidsscore, de beschikbaarheid en kosten van reserveonderdelen, reparatie-instructies, beperkingen bij reparatie en de periode waarin software-updates worden geleverd, verschijnen op de productpagina in de tab “Garantie en reparatie”. Stel standaardwaarden per categorie in en overschrijf ze per product.

4. Scanner voor milieuclaims. De richtlijn verbiedt generieke milieuclaims (“milieuvriendelijk”, “groen”, “klimaatneutraal”, “duurzaam”), tenzij het product erkende voortreffelijke milieuprestaties levert. Ook verboden zijn neutraliteitsclaims die op compensatie berusten en duurzaamheidskeurmerken die niet op een certificeringsregeling zijn gebaseerd of niet door een overheidsinstantie zijn ingesteld. ClaimProof doorzoekt producttitels en -beschrijvingen in 15 talen op zulke formuleringen, toont elke bevinding met de context en houdt een log van je beslissingen bij waarin achteraf aangebrachte wijzigingen zichtbaar zijn. Elke keer dat je een product opslaat, wordt het opnieuw gecontroleerd.
