    OK so to make a long story even longer, My blog is my problem child. Simply because I do not have the patience and the nervous system to work out the kinks of my blog and have it working as it should be. MY blog is important for me as an outlet and journal during my healing journey. Previously my ex-husband whos Ingenieur informatics used to program it and keep it working for me whenever work on it needed to be done. After my divorce and I could not afford the hosting it had anymore (I’m on welfare now) I moved it to affordable place for me but it was not done without errors and my site is just not the same anymore and running smoothly. In the far past, I build my own HTTP site from scratch but so much has changed and so fast but due to that and personal issues I just can’t anymore even tho I wish I could just swing that magic wand of mine n have it running smoothly again.

    What I need

    My backups are not working anymore and this needs to be fixed so I do not have to worry about backups.
    My WordPress needs to be updated.
    Certain image files that were part of my theme didn’t show up anymore after the move to my new hosting service I like that fixed.
    I don’t know if I have the best hosting servers for my site even.
    MY Feedburner does not work anymore
    Several old issues with my site need to be fixed
    Plugins and apps need to be checked if they are the best and right ones for what I want and need.
    Unused apps and plugins need to be removed.
    Advice on anything that I did not cover here and needs to be done. I know my page is a little outdated and could use a revamp but I have no energy for that. The page as is now was designed by me long ago and build in HTTP ones upon a time before I changed to WordPress including all graphic work.

    Serious replies please I’m dealing with enough in my life already and this is just one thing that would take a load off my shoulders.

    I don’t expect anyone to just magically fix everything for me I’m just here to start somewhere with fixing this problem. so if anyone has something useful to say to me, don’t hold back.

    I understand this is a Dutch forum. I am Dutch and speak Dutch however I am more comfortable in English. Since you ask me to I will translate this in Dutch even tho 90% of Dutch people speak and write English. I find the WordPress forums a little difficult to navigate and right now I can’t even find anymore where to edit this post. So it would be really helpful if you can point out to me where I can edit this post. Yes, I am aware I have edited it before however, I don’t seem to be able to find anymore now. Does it matter by the way, if my blog is in English?

    IK begrijp dat dit een Nederlandstalig forum is. IK ben Nederlands en spreek en ook Nederlands toch vind ik het gemakkelijker om mij in het engels uit te drukken. Omdat je het vraagt vertaal ik het in het engels alhoewel 90 % van de Nederlanders engels kan spreken en schrijven tegenwoordig. IK vind deze forums een beetje lastig te navigeren en op dit moment kan ik niet meer terug vinden hoe ik deze post moet bewerken. Het zou heel erg helpen als je mij kan wijzen waar/hoe ik dit kan doen. Ja ik weet dat ik het al een keer bewerkt heb maar op dit moment kan ik het niet meer vinden. Maakt het trouwens uit dat mijn blog in het Engels is?

    Hoi, als je ingelogd bent zou je een ‘bewerk’ moeten zien op je oorspronkelijk bericht.

    Geen probleem als Engels voor je beter lukt, dan is je vraag prima in de internationale forums waar de voertaal Engels is. Soms worden nieuwe gebruikers/accounts foutief gemarkeerd als spam door antispam maatregelen, maar dat wordt bekeken door de forum moderators in de Internationale forums dus je vraagt komt zeker in orde.
