Diary/Notebook reageert vreemd in IE

Hallo allen,
als korte intro van mijn kant de opmerking dat ik graag wat stoei met css etc, maar geen ICT achtergrond heb. Ik heb een eigen WordPress.org installatie op een Linux server lopen en maak gebruik van enkele plugins en het thema Diary/Notebook. Dat heb ik al op enkele punten gecustomized, maar nu kom ik er achter, bij een check via de Internet Explorer, dat het thema daar niet goed meer functioneert. De pagina laadt (mu.v. de startpagina) nog een keer onderaan een extra bk_footer.png. Hierdoor eindigt het “dagboekje” niet netjes, maar loopt ie door.

Onder bijgevoegd de style.css want ik vermoed dat daar het probleem wordt veroorzaakt…..
