Achtergrond instelling in de conentarea

Hoi,
Hoe krijg ik in de content area (dus de inhoud van de pagina waar de teksten staan. ed.) een achtergrond? Ik heb meerdere JPG achtergronden gemaakt en nu wil ik deze achtergronden per pagina invoeren in de content area. Hoe doe ik dat?

In de css zal je dan moeten aangeven dat je een achtergrond wilt hebben op een bepaald deel van je pagina. De afbeelding die je wilt gebruiken moet dan ook in de juiste folder staan (images/).

Sorry, maar ik krijg het niet voorelkaar.
Waar moet ik het precies plaatsen.
Ik werk met het template Weaver.
Ik mag aannemen dat ik het in de Weaver Admin –> Main Options moet plaatsen.

Ik kom er totaal niet uit… Zeer frustrerend…

Als ik het totaal ergens anders moet plaatsen, laat het even weten.

Eerst moet je checken wat de id van je content area is (vaak is dat “content”). Johan z’n code zou je in principe moeten toevoegen aan het style.css bestand van je theme (in je admin, via Appearance -> Editor).

Om per pagina een verschillende achtergrond in te stellen kan je werken met body class. Hiervoor check je de body class van de pagina in kwestie met Firebug of zo, om de ID te achterhalen, en plaats je iets als dit in je style.css:

of voor posts:

Heb je geen zin om je css steeds manueel aan te passen, dan kan je ook de featured image functionaliteit aanwenden om de content areas van al je posts en pages een andere achtergrond te geven, zie bv.: http://wpgym.com/using-wordpress-thumbnails-as-a-css-background/

Maakt niet echt uit, maar voor alle duidelijkheid misschien best onder de hoofding “Content”. Je kan ook een nieuw onderdeeltje “Body Class” maken en het daaronder zetten.
