Passei horas procurando um plugin que realizasse a tarefa de visualização deste 
tipo de imagem. Este funcionou perfeitamente apenas instalando , sem a necessidade
de realizar qualquer alteração no php. Obrigado ao criador.

Sorry but lack of description what the plugin should do. Either any function on 
Webp Just because its the only Webp Plugin don’t mean to be useful at all
