Footer Shortcodes provides an easy way to add the standard footer copyright notice to your website - copyright symbol, Year, Site Title (linked to homepage).<\/p>\n\n

There are separate shortcodes for each element so you can arrange and punctuate them however you like.<\/p>\n\n

There is also a forth shortcode that combines the three elements in the standard way - \u00a9 thisyear siteTitle.<\/p>\n\n

Footer Shortcodes uses the PHP date() function so the year will always be current.<\/p>\n\n

Shortcodes work in content and widgets but will NOT<\/strong> work in Titles, WP Custom Fields, Site Title, Site Description, Widget Titles, Menus, Headers and the HTML <title><\/code> element.<\/p>\n\n\n

  1. Use Add Plugin<\/strong> within the WordPress Admin panel to download and install this Footer Shortcodes<\/em> plugin from the WordPress.org plugin repository (preferred method).<\/li>\n
  2. Activate the Footer Shortcodes<\/em> plugin through the Installed Plugins<\/strong> Admin panel in WordPress.<\/li>\n
  3. Insert [footer-shortcode-copyright]<\/code>, [footer-shortcode-year]<\/code>, [footer-shortcode-site]<\/code> and\/or [footer-shortcode]<\/code> shortcodes as many times as you wish in one or more WordPress Pages, Posts or text widgets.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n
