Deze plugin is niet getest met de laatste 3 grotere versies van WordPress. Mogelijk wordt het niet meer onderhouden of ondersteund. Ook kunnen er compatibiliteitsproblemen ontstaan wanneer het wordt gebruikt met recentere versies van WordPress.

Beschrijving

Deze plugin zal een custom css manager inschakelen op de beheerpagina om Custom CSS code toe te voegen aan je WordPress site. Het zal automatisch alle standaardstijlen van thema’s of plugins overschrijven. Het is ook erg handig als je aanpassingen aan je site wil toevoegen maar je thema of plugin CSS bestanden niet wil bewerken.

Er zijn twee manieren om aangepaste CSS code toe te voegen:

1. Instellingen
Je kunt naar Weergave Custom CSS gaan, daar zul je een groot vak/tekstveld zien. Zet daar je CSS code neer.

2. Customizer – live voorbeeld
Als je de live voorbeeld wil zien terwijl je de aangepaste CSS code aan het toevoegen bent, dan kun je naar Weergave → Customize gaan, open daarna de Aangepaste CSS sectie tab.

  • Sub thema alternatief om aanpassingen toe te voegen

Installatie

Via het dashboard

  1. Log in op het beheerpaneel van je WordPress en ga naar plugins -> nieuwe toevoegen
  2. Typ theme junkie custom css in het vak zoeken en klik op de knop zoeken.
  3. Zoek de Theme Junkie Custom CSS plugin.
  4. Klik dan op nu installeren en activeer de plugin.
  5. Ga naar weergave → Custom CSS.

Installeren via FTP

  1. Download de plugin naar je harde schijf.
  2. Uitpakken.
  3. Upload de map theme-junkie-custom-css naar je plugins folder.
  4. Login op het beheer paneel van je WordPress en klik op het menu plugins.
  5. De plugin vervolgens activeren.
  6. Ga naar weergave → Custom CSS.

Search doesn’t work really

Great, works nicely! Thank you! However, search is not working as suppose to, and doesn’t work at all in russian if you have russian comments. Work around is to go to Custom CSS. But that’s different story. Pleasure.

Great custom CSS plugin, with extras

Great alternative to Simple Custom CSS, now that it’s no longer being maintained. You would think there wasn’t much to say about a custom css plugin, but this one not only adds the usual Custom CSS pane to Appearance, but adds it to Customize as well, so you can preview your code changes without having to refresh and switch tabs. Love this feature! Generally a well-thought-out plugin, with scroll bars and pane expanders where you need them, numbered lines, a link to Mozilla’s html/css tutorial (which, let’s be honest, is friendlier than W3’s), and keeps the promotion for their other products unobtrusive and out of the way of functionality. The only suggestion I would make is to add an additional save button near the top of the custom css box on the Custom CSS pane, as well as the one at the bottom.
