## Beschrijving

StackBuggs Alt Text Manager gives site administrators a focused workspace for finding
and improving image ALT text.

Use the media inventory to find images without ALT text, edit descriptions individually,
or apply suggestions in bulk. When WooCommerce is active, the plugin can suggest
ALT text from the associated product title for featured product images, gallery 
images, and variation images.

The plugin preserves the existing Media Library workflow. It does not create duplicate
images or modify image files; it only updates the standard WordPress attachment 
ALT text field.

 * View images that need ALT text, images with ALT text, or all Media Library images.
 * Search images by title or filename.
 * Edit and save ALT text directly from the plugin screen.
 * Apply bulk suggestions using the media title or filename.
 * Apply WooCommerce product-title suggestions to linked product, gallery, and variation

 * View ALT text coverage totals for the Media Library.

All JavaScript and CSS files in this plugin are human-readable, unminified source
code. No build tools or compilation steps are used.

## Installatie

 1. Upload the `stackbuggs-alt-text-manager` folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory,
    or install the plugin through the WordPress Plugins screen.
 2. Activate StackBuggs Alt Text Manager through the Plugins screen in WordPress.
 3. Open Media > Alt Text Manager.

## FAQ

### Does this work with WooCommerce product images?

Yes. WooCommerce product images are WordPress Media Library attachments, so they
appear in the same inventory. The Product Title suggestion locates featured images,
gallery images, and variation images associated with a product.

### Is WooCommerce required?

No. Without WooCommerce, the product-title suggestion is hidden and everything else
works normally.

### What happens when an image is not associated with a product?

The Product Title action is shown only for linked product images. In a mixed bulk
selection, images without a WooCommerce product association are skipped and reported
after the update.

### Does the plugin alter image files?

No. The plugin only saves ALT text in WordPress attachment metadata.

### Does the plugin store any data of its own?

No. It only reads and updates the standard WordPress ALT text field, so there is
nothing to clean up on uninstall.
