Beschrijving
As the name suggests, it’s a very simple Hit Counter that counts the number of Unique Visitors and Page-views. You can show either the Unique Visitors or total page-views count anywhere on the site using widgets or shortcode. You can also add/show both Counters by using two copies of the widget or the shortcode. It keeps counting even when you have no widget or shortcode active. To completely disable the counter you have to disable the plugin.

Go to Appearance > Widgets and look for the widget 'SRS Simple Hits Counter' Select the widget area and click 'Add Widget'. 
Select 'Visitors' radio button to show Unique vistors to your site. 
Select 'Page Views' radio button to show count for every page load.

- Visit ‘Plugins > Add New’
- Search for ‘SRS Simple Hits Counter’
- Activate ‘SRS Simple Hits Counter’ from your Plugins page.
- Use widget to display the counter in footer or sidebar etc.
- Use the shortcode to add the counter to any part of the site.

- Download ‘SRS Simple Hits Counter’.
- Upload the ‘SRS Simple Hits Counter’ directory to your ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory, using your favorite method (ftp, sftp, scp, etc…)
- Activate ‘SRS Simple Hits Counter’ from your Plugins page.
- Use widget to display the counter in footer or sidebar etc.
- Use the shortcode to add the counter to any part of the site.

This plugin has ZERO support, doesn't work right anymore and not compatible with WP 5.8.

This plugin worked great for a long time, but all of a sudden, it is displaying 32,893 visitors. While I wish that was the case, it's way off. And if I use the plugin control panel settings to reset it to something sane like 7300, as soon as it refreshes its back again to over 32,000. Sounds like a short/long integer problem?

Important for me: individual Start-Values.
Some Settings for Layout or something would be nice.
