OwnID is a passwordless add-on for your WordPress or WooCommerce website. The authentication flow is web-based and doesn’t require you to install an app. Our complete end-to-end platform works cross-OS, cross-device, and cross-domain. It supports Passkeys out of the box.
Our plugin handles a multitude of login scenarios: new user login, existing user login, phone unavailable, biometrics not supported, and more. Your users will be able to log in quickly and easily, always.
This might be a new plugin but it works well, with WordPress and WooCommerce 🫶
I've been hunting for a solution for over a year, and this is the first one that allows me to combine a few methods of authentication I needed: passkeys, biometric, magic link, otp via email – without the need for coding. And the support was great: I wanted to remove the password fields completely and got a little stuck with WooCommerce, but Carlos responded immediately and the next day they pushed a plugin update. Thanks!
I am considering also adding social and SMS methods, so if OwnID implemented them, it would save me installing additional plugins, but frankly, those might just be fallback solutions and with what current version offers already, I'll probably wait and see if my visitors need them.
Well, I came across OwnID completely by accident - just by testing and comparing passwordless solutions found in the Google search engine.I`ve tested OwnID quite intensively, and I must admit that I am very impressed!Authentication works great, integrates beautifully with the WordPress login interface. Lots of personalization options in the OwnID web console, also the ability to set your own domain - and it's all for free… 🙂
I have not found another offer like this anywhere else.
Thank you!
I'm not so sure about the quality of the software itself since I don't trust it enough to actually install it. This is due to my concern about the earlier 10 reviews. All the reviews were from accounts created less than two weeks ago, and all of the accounts have only posted a single review. All the reviews are vague. For example, zivka's review references some "podcast" that mentioned OwnID but doesn't say which one and doesn't specify the name of the dropshipping site.
It seems highly likely these are all fake reviews, and I cannot trust a plugin to manage my website's login process if it is willing to engage in deceptive practices from the get-go.
I love this, it’s dramatically increased the security for customers using my online-store, it's so easy to install and it looks good, I'm very impressed.
