Het hoofdbeheerscherm geeft een overzicht van je downloads met behulp van de vertrouwde WordPress gebruikersinterface. 
Voeg eenvoudig bestandsinformatie en meerdere versies toe. 
Het snel toevoegen paneel kan worden geopend via een link over de berichteditor. Hiermee kun je snel een bestand toevoegen en in een bericht invoegen.

Installatie
Automatische installatie
Automatische installatie is de gemakkelijkste optie, aangezien WordPress de bestandsoverdracht zelf afhandelt en je je webbrowser niet eens hoeft te verlaten. Om een automatische installatie uit te voeren, log je in op je WordPress beheerderspaneel, navigeer je naar het menu Plugins en klik je op Nieuw toevoegen.
Typ “Download Monitor” in het zoekveld en klik op Plugins Zoeken. Zodra je de plugin hebt gevonden, kan je er details over bekijken, zoals de puntrelease, beoordeling en beschrijving. Het belangrijkste is natuurlijk dat je het kunt installeren door op Nu installeren te klikken.
Handmatige installatie
De handmatige installatiemethode omvat het downloaden van de plugin en het uploaden naar je webserver via je favoriete FTP applicatie.
- Download het plugin bestand naar je computer en pak het uit
- Gebruik een FTP programma of je hostingconfiguratiescherm en upload de uitgepakte plugin map naar de
wp-content/plugins/folder van je WordPress installatie. - Activeer de plugin in het menu Plugins in het WordPress beheerder paneel.

Kan ik het .xxx-bestandstype uploaden met de uploader?

Download Monitor gebruikt de WordPress uploader voor het uploaden van bestanden. Standaard worden deze formaten ondersteund:
- Afbeeldingen – .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif
- Documenten – .pdf, .doc, .docx, .ppt, .pptx, .pps, .ppsx, .odt, .xls, .xlsx
- Muziek – .mp3, .m4a, .ogg, .wav
- Video – .mp4, .m4v, .mov, .wmv, .avi, .mpg, .ogv, .3gp, .3g2

Kan ik linken naar externe downloads?

Ja, je kunt zowel lokale paden als externe URL’s gebruiken.

Mijn downloadlinks 404

Downloadlinks worden mogelijk gemaakt door endpoints. Als je ze 404’ing vindt, ga dan naar Instellingen > Permalinks en sla op. Hierdoor worden de permalinks gewist en kunnen onze endpoints worden toegevoegd.
