Despite the negative reviews, this plugin worked extremely well for my WordPress migration. Everything moved over exactly as expected—the files and database transferred seamlessly. I think some users may be running into issues during the import step because many hosting environments have default upload or execution limits. In those cases, you often need to increase the values in your PHP configuration (php.ini or similar) to allow larger migration files. That’s a server-side limitation, not a problem with the plugin itself. Once those limits were adjusted, the import completed without any issues. Overall, this plugin did exactly what I needed and worked great for my migration.

If you read this, you have been warned!As other people already claimed, they blame the hostingprovider for whatever upload restrictions, but their plugin is broken and can ONLY be fixed with some magical extension for 70 dollars. They block every import or basic backup recovery with files that are already on the server after you created a backup. So dont use it, the (free) backup recovery doesn’t work unless you pay. For EVERYTHING you need this paid extension, there is no FREE version. I tried to solve it with their support, but they only reply “Buy the extension to bypass restricitions” then they send you on a wild goose chase, and tell you your hosting provider needs to fix this. They are scammers. Don’t buy or support these people.

They trick you into thinking you can migrate a small website for free, but the only free option to send the backup to the server is BROKEN, and it’s not a configuration issue coming from my server. Even if you upload file directly to the server (like I have done with SCP) they will want your money.There’s no free option here

“Please buy the Pro version because your file exceeds the upload limit of your web server.”No, it doesn’t. You’re just trying to push me the premium extension based on false information. This plugin should be banned. I’m reporting it.

If i could i would put 0 starts, I’m honestly shocked at how this plugin is still recommended. All-in-One WP Migration creates .wpress backup files that only their own plugin can open, which already locks you in. But the worst part? When you actually try to RESTORE the backup you made, you find out it’s paywalled. A migration/backup plugin that charges you to restore your own backup is ridiculous. I only needed to move ONE site from one host to another. Instead, the plugin demanded I buy their paid plan and the lowest tier is $69 for 50 sites for one year. Why is there no 1-site option? Why am I forced to pay for “50 sites” when I only need it ONCE? It feels intentionally designed to trap users. Support was no better. Rude, unhelpful, and honestly a bit unsettling. While typing a message (NOT sent yet), I wrote: “I will be writing an honest bad review about this.” Before I even pressed send, the agent replied with: “You are free to write a bad review.”That means they (unless it was pure luck) could see my messages before I sent them, which felt like an invasion of privacy and was the final red flag for me. Overall this plugin wasted my time, blocked my migration, tried to force an upsell, and left me uncomfortable with their support behaviour. There are far better, more transparent, and more ethical migration tools out there. I won’t be using this again.

I was thrown off at first when my migration failed. With the help of support, we determined that my backup file was corrupted. Fortunately, I had more than one backup file, and the second one allowed me to finish the migration smoothly. I’m accustomed, with many other services, to wait for 24 hours or more to hear back from support. But these guys got back to me in less than 24 minutes. Thank you!
