Beschrijving

Leid je bezoekers om op basis van hun geografische (land) locatie. Met behulp van de Maxmind GeoIP (Lite) Database (DB laatst geüpdatet: 09-03-2025).

Functies:

  • Bezoekers omleiden op basis van het land van de bezoeker
  • Omleiding altijd inschakelen/uitschakelen
  • Development modus voor testen (alleen voor beheerders) opmerking: dev modus IP is van Bangladesh
  • Debug log voor alle evenementen. Fouten logs op het moment van omleiding, omleiding afgerond log…
  • Debug log viewer in de beheer kant
  • Omleiding overslaan voor bots & crawlers
  • Redirect overslaan met URL-parameter
  • 2 verschillende omleidingstypes…. (301 -Permanently, & 302 – Temporarily Moved)
  • Bezoeker alleen doorverwijzen bij eerste bezoek (reset na 24 uur)
  • Onbeperkt omleidingsregels toevoegen…
  • Omleidingsregels met behulp van regex. voor elke hiërarchische URL
  • Geef huidige URL parameters door aan doel URL
  • Stel omleidingsregels in: absolute URL of relatieve URL (ten opzichte van homepage)
  • Omleiding ALS of NIET ALS VAN land logica
  • Plugin instellingen opnieuw instellen
  • Importeren & plugin instellingen exporteren om andere op de site te gebruiken

Installatie

Om een WordPress plugin toe te voegen met het ingebouwde plugin installatieprogramma:

Ga naar plugins > nieuwe toevoegen.

  1. Typ de naam “Advanced GeoIP Redirect” in het vakje Plugins zoeken box
  2. Zoek de “Advanced GeoIP Redirect” plugin om te installeren.
  3. Klik op nu installeren om de installatie van de plugin te beginnen.
  4. Het resulterende installatiescherm vermeldt de installatie als succesvol of noteert eventuele problemen tijdens de installatie.
    Indien succesvol, klik je op plugin activeren om deze te activeren, of op terug naar plugin installatie voor verdere acties.

Om een WordPress plugin toe te voegen vanuit een GitHub repo/plugin zip bestand:
1. Ga naar de WordPress plugin pagina
2. Klik op Nieuwe toevoegen & plugin uploaden
3. Versleep/klik om het plugin zip bestand te uploaden
4. Het resulterende installatiescherm toont de installatie als succesvol of vermeldt eventuele problemen tijdens de installatie.
Als het succesvol is, klik op plugin activeren om het te activeren, of keer terug naar plugin Installer voor verdere acties.

FAQ

Hoe gebruik je deze plugin?

Net na het installeren van de Advanced GeoIP Redirect plugin, ga naar instellingen -> Advanced GeoIP Redirect & daar pas je instellingen aan en voeg je je omleidingsregels toe. Voor regex zie schermafbeeldingen voorbeelden.

Great plug-in – well done!

I had a bit of trouble with the plugin at first and couldn’t get it to work. So, I reached out to Sajjad, the creator of the plugin, for help. He was incredibly responsive, replying to my emails within minutes, and quickly helped me get everything up and running. It turned out the issue was on my end. I had followed some online instructions that led me to install another plugin for geolocation based on IP addresses, which conflicted with Sajjad’s plugin. The great advantage of Sajjad’s plugin is that it already has geolocation built-in, so there’s no need to connect or chain multiple plugins together. This feature made everything much simpler and more efficient. I’m really grateful for Sajjad’s help and for the quality of his plugin!

Found this plugin after trying 4 others. Other pluging drown themselves in the signup workflows, pricing plans or code insertions. Its a pretty simple job and this plugin shines. I was all set in under a min.

Seems to be a rarity these days, a free plugin that actually does what it claims! Super simple to install and set up, and it just works, unlike the half dozen other IP redirect plugins that I’ve tried today. Thank you so much 🙂
